Dispute leads to 2 arrests BY MICHAEL ACKER Staff Writer
OLD BRIDGE - Police arrested two family members after a dispute reportedly turned violent at a local clubhouse.
Michael Gulinazzo, 41, of Manalapan, was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief on Patio Greens Drive at 7:47 p.m. March 29 after several police units responded to a fight in progress at the Whispering Pines clubhouse.
Police restrained Gulinazzo, who was allegedly intoxicated and uncooperative with officers, after he allegedly attempted to shove another individual. Patrolman Richard Mustacchio then placed Gulinazzo under arrest and escorted him to the patrol car.
However, police said Gulinazzo attempted to pull away from Mustacchio, who brought the suspect to the ground and held him there. Gulinazzo allegedly attempted to kick police officer Trevor Haughney as he tried to break free, according to police. When police placed Gulinazzo in the patrol car, he reportedly spit on the windows and kicked the rear rightside window of the car with both of his feet.
Mustacchio wrote in his report of the incident that he opened the rear door and warned Gulinazzo that he would use O.C., or pepper, spray to restrain him if he continued to kick the window. However, the suspect allegedly kicked the window again, bending the doorframe when Mustacchio shut the door. The officer sprayed Gulinazzo, and the suspect then cooperated with police as he was transported to headquarters for processing.
Police also arrested Peter Thomas Gulinazzo on charge of disorderly conduct after the altercation. This suspect allegedly refused to cooperate with police at the scene, according to the incident report.
