The Greater Middlesex Conference Football Coaches Association will hold its 18th Annual Spring Football Demonstration Clinic on Thursday May 1 from 4-9 p.m. at East Brunswick High School. Clinicians include Scott Sallach of Princeton, John Loose of Lafayette, Bryan Volk of Fordham, Andy Bobik of Monmouth, Rich Alercio of College of New Jersey, Keith Hellestern of Wesleyan, Malik Hall of Hofstra and Bill Parisi of Parisi Speed School. The Old Bridge Hornets Girls U8 Soccer Team opened their 2008 spring travel season with a 5-0 victory over the Oceanport Knights on Saturday in Oceanport. The Hornets offense was led by Julia Sandor with three goals, and one tally each by Shannon Kearns and Jessica Schmidt. The offensive outburst was backed by the stellar goalkeeping of Kayla Lombardi, Sierra Stevenson and Trinity Malave. Also contributing to the Hornets victory were Emily Lopes, Brianna Quezada, Jackie Tannucilli, Joelle Taranto, Emily Valazza and Skylar Weickert.

The Hornets play in the Premier Division of the Jersey Coast Youth Soccer League, and are coached by Christine Sandor, Nancy Tannucilli and Dominick Lombardi.

The East Brunswick High School Boys Volleyball Team will sponsor a fundraising car wash from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 13 at the East Brunswick High School. Cost is $5 for cars and $7 for SUVs or vans. For more information, call Jean Norland at 732-238-4060.
