Stanley M. Kamel

Mr. Kamel, of Los Angeles, 65, formerly of South River, died April 8, 2008, in Los Angeles. A working actor for almost 40 years, he played psychiatrist Dr. Charles Kroger in the USA Network television series "Monk." His father, Sydney L. Kamel, died in 1967; his mother, Lillian Perlmutter Kamel, died in 2002; and a brother,Marvin Kamel, died in 2002. Surviving are two brothers, Robert Kamel of Roanoke, Va., and Dr. Stephen Kamel of East Brunswick; five nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and great-nephews. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Anshe Emeth Cemetery, East Brunswick.
