Salvatore Scavone Jr.

Mr. Scavone, 61, of Sayreville, formerly of Edison, died April 13, 2008, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He and his wife co-owned Bridge Liquors, Sayreville, for 27 years, retiring in 2003. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Ronald Gaboury. Surviving are his wife, Betty Pauley Scavone; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Tammy Schmidt of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick and Daniel and Jennifer Schmidt of Holly Springs, N.C.; three daughters and sons-in-law, April and Anthony Magistro of Howell, Sally-Joe and Steven Stavola of Monmouth Junction and Christine and Bryan Grossmann of East Brunswick; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mildred and Edward Robbins and Annette Gaboury; a brother, Louis Scavone; and five grandchildren. AMass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
