Safety-awareness fair coming to high school

The Middlesex County Education Association (MCEA) will present its Pride in Public Education Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High School, Rues Lane, East Brunswick.

Teachers and support staff plan the annual free event as their way of offering an interactive format to provide useful information on keeping children healthy and safe. The East Brunswick Fire Department and Rescue Squad will set up displays in the school's parking lot. Radio Disney will be on hand to direct some of the activities inside the high school. The police will instruct children regarding safety. Stories will be read to children ages 4-11, and tableswill be set up to offer information on bike, bus and Internet safety, good nutrition and more. There will be free handouts and books for guests.All are welcome to attend; however, adults must accompany their children throughout the fair.
