Fundraiser will help children attend YMCA

A Community Connects fundraiser will be held at 7 p.m. on May 3 at the Raritan Valley YMCA, Tices Lane, East Brunswick. Proceeds will help local youngsters whose families who are in financial crisis attend summer programs at the YMCA.

The event will feature a football theme. Adults will be able to meet representatives from area football teams and review Giants Super Bowl highlights and Rutgers Scarlet Knights team videos. Guest will be Steven Baker, "The Touchdown Maker," former NewYorkGiant.Other athletes are expected to attend.

Football fanfare, food and drink will be included in the $100 ticket fee. Supporters in attendance will also be able to bid on silent-auction items including hotel vacations, sports packages, New York Yankees tickets, jewelry, theater tickets, dinner certificates and more.
