Environmental cleanup scheduled for May 17

The Milltown Environmental Commission and the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership will sponsor a cleanup of the waterways in Milltown from 9 a.m. to noon on May 17.

Area residents are invited tomeet at the police entrance at Milltown Borough Hall, 39 Washington Ave. The cleanup, which is designed to improve water quality and beautify the borough, will include Bog Brook, Sawmill Brook, Sucker Brook and Lawrence Brook.

Participants should wear stout shoes or boots and clothes that cover the legs and arms. Refreshments will be provided.
