Dinner-Dance to benefit resident's cancer fight

A Dinner-Dance to raise funds for Old Bridge resident Zak Nimberger in his fight against cancer will be held from 7-11 p.m. on June 13 at Buttonwood Manor, Route 34, Matawan.

Zak, son of Georgette and Jeff Nimberger, is a 23-year-old Old Bridge resident who recently was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer. His mother, Georgette, has been a school-bus aide in Old Bridge for many years. His sister, Vanessa Macari, is a teacher at Voorhees Elementary School, Old Bridge. The family accrued $12,000 in medical bills in less than two days.
