John W. Smith Jr.

Mr. Smith, 81, of Sayreville, died May 7, 2008, in Care One at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed in the maintenance department at Bristol-Myers Squibb, North Brunswick, where he worked for 23 years. Before that, he was employed for 23 years with Sayer and Fisher Brick Co., Sayreville. His wife, Mary Satorski Smith, died in 1987. Surviving are three children and their spouses, Christine and Joseph Horn, John A. and Judy Smith and Michael A. and Evelyn Smith, all of Sayreville; a sister, Dorothy Cochran of Lowell, Mich.; and eight grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.
