Sacred Dialogue on Race scheduled at E.B. church

East Brunswick Congregational Church (EBCC) and Iqra Community Services, a Muslim congregation that has been regularly praying at EBCC for the past five years, will co-sponsor a Sacred Dialogue on Race 10:30 a.m. June 29 at the church, 402 New Brunswick Ave., East Brunswick.

The event will begin with an interfaith worship service, followed by small-group dialogues on 10 focus questions aimed at deepening the community's awareness and exploration of race in the United States.

There will be a potluck meal, after which the discussion and dialogue will continue. Those attending are encouraged to bring a dish to share. The sacred dialogue is open to the public, regardless of religious affiliation, or lack thereof.

Participants who are not familiar with Muslim prayers are invited by the Iqra community to stay at the end of the potluck to watch the 1:30 p.m. Muslim prayers at the church. For more information, call EBCC Pastor Rev. Robert Moore at 609-924-5022.
