Participants sought for home-arts event at fair

The Middlesex County Fair Association invites residents to participate in the Home- Arts Festival at the 70th annual Middlesex County Fair set for Aug. 4-10 at the fairgrounds, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

Fair organizers are seeking amateur crafters, photographers, artists, gardeners, sewers, bakers and canners who would like an opportunity to earn ribbons. First-, second and third-place and honorable-mention ribbons may be awarded in each class. All items will remain on display in the home arts building for the duration of the fair. There are adult, children's and special-participant divisions.

All items should be brought to the fairgrounds 1-5 p.m. Aug. 3. There is no entry fee. The fair also will feature 4-H displays, entertainment, rides and food.
