Thompson offers help with Medicare Part D

Assemblyman Sam Thompson (R-13) will sponsor one-on-one assistance with the Medicare Part D prescription-drug program from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays, at his office, 725 Route 34, Old Bridge.

An appointment is required. There is no fee for the service.

Trained Medicare counselors will sit down with each beneficiary to help find the plan that is best for that individual.

The annual open enrollment for the Medicare Part D program runs through Dec. 31. After that date, individuals may not change their Part D coverage for another year.

For an appointment, call 732-583-5558. Beneficiaries should bring their Medicare card, their actual medications, or a list of their medications, including dosages and cost, to the meeting.
