      Free dental-care event scheduled at KidZdent

      Cavan Brunsden, D.M.D., and Nancy Villa, D.M.D., of KidZdent, 2455 Route 516, Old Bridge, will participate in the Give Kids a Smile program, offering free preventive and emergency dental care for children ages 12 and under in a one-day event set for Feb. 6.

      The program is part of Children's Dental Health Month, the American Dental Association's annual push to bring attention to the No. 1 childhood disease: tooth decay.

      Children who come to KidZdent on Feb. 6 will receive a comprehensive dental examination,

      oral healthcare instruction, fluoride treatments, radiographs and free dentalhygiene

      materials including toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss. In addition, emergency dental care will be provided, if necessary.

      Last February nearly a half million children in the United States received more than $50 million in dental care at more than 4,600 sites nationwide as a result of the Give Kids a Smile event.
