      Parents of disabled get free job-search aid

      The Family Support Center of New Jersey (FSCNJ), 2516 Route 35, Manasquan, a clearinghouse for disability information, is offering the parents and caregivers of the developmentally disabled an opportunity to schedule free computer drop-in hours for employment searching and research.

      Interested individuals may plan an appointment to use the center's computer workstations while doing research at the lending library. Jobseekers also may speak to a knowledgeable resource coordinator and make an appointment to learn how to best utilize FSCNJ's comprehensive database.

      The Family Support Center of New Jersey is an affiliate of the Family Resource Network, a family-focused, community based organization that aims to provide individual and family support throughout the lifespan of people with disabilities and chronic illness. The network is made up of four affiliate organizations including Autism Family Services of New Jersey, Caregivers of New Jersey, the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey and the Family Support Center of New Jersey. The Family Resource Network has six offices across the state.
