A workable solution to the foreclosure crisis

The foreclosure crisis has a workable solution that can be applied almost immediately to stop people from losing their homes because they can no longer afford to make the mortgage payments.

Cooperative buy-in of the home and property by relatives and friends under agreeable arrangements for use of home and property, splitting the cost of the mortgage payment two, three, and possibly four ways, making the mortgage payment affordable to all parties is a workable solution.

Separately, or in addition to the co-op buy-in option, especially in the case of homes with limited living space, are the options of accepting boarders or renters to help make the mortgage payments.

I publicly presented this threeway solution to the Board of Freeholders of Ocean County at the public portion of their meeting on Dec. 3. Their reaction was positive in that they encouraged that this solution be considered at the state level. But first I would like the people and governing body of every municipality to consider the merits of this solution.
