Phillis M. Bongiovanni Coppola

Mrs. Coppola, 92, of Parlin, died Dec. 25, 2008, at Briarwood Care Center, Sayreville. Born in Newark, she had resided in Parlin since 1990. Before her retirement, Mrs. Coppola was a supervisor at Electrical Industries in Newark for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Sayreville. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Coppola, in 1978; a son, Louis Bongiovanni, in 1993; a sister, Louise Accamando; and three brothers, John, Anthony an Charles Bongiovanni; Surviving are a sister, Mary Pucciarello of Sayreville; a granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and greatnephews. A funeral Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. The Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, was in charge of arrangements.
