Festival to showcase student art, music

The Old Bridge Education Foundation will host its Arts Festival 2009 6-9:30 p.m. May 18 in the main building at Old Bridge High School, Route 516.

The event will feature the talents of Old Bridge Township public school students. Artwork will be displayed, and musical performances will be presented. The District Elementary School Honors Band/Elementary Strings Ensemble will perform at 6:30 p.m.; Jonas Salk Middle School Select Chorus, 7 p.m.; Jonas Salk Middle School Jazz Band, 7:15 p.m.; Carl Sandburg Middle School Band, 7:30 p.m.; Old Bridge District Intermediate Orchestra, 7:45 p.m.; Old Bridge High School Concert Band/Jazz Band/Indoor Percussion, 8 p.m.; and Old Bridge High School/Salk/Sandburg musicians, 8:30 p.m.

The Old Bridge Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for grants used by district teachers for special projects, programs and equipment.
