Restaurant slates free event for community

Giusseppe's Pizza and Fine Italian Food, 2581 Route 516, Old Bridge, will hold its third annual Customer Appreciation Day noon-3 p.m. June 27.

The event will future free food, giveaways, free water-park tickets, a moonwalk and a children's show. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contender Frankie Edgar will be on hand to sign autographs. Al Chance will sing hits of the 1940s-today.

A fundraiser to benefit the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, New Brunswick, for kidney cancer research will be held to honor one of the restaurant's owners.
